Archive for February, 2010

Wow…over the past few days the site has had nearly 1,000 hits!!!    I find that very exciting even though I know some of my photog friends out there are laughing at me because they probably see that many hits in a day – LOL.

Also, I am all booked through the rest of 2010!  Todd is getting quite nervous with the many hours of babsitting he gets to look forward to in the near future – LOL.  Later in March I will be second shooting a wedding with a fellow Bay Area photographer…can’t wait.

Here are a few pics of the W Family I shot several months back but never had a chance to blog.  I just adore them….look forward to shooting little Miss A for her 1 year next month!

Posting this one for you Gina!  So bummed we didn’t capture a group shot.

I was able to convince my little Miss T to come out and do a shoot with me before the rain starts rolling in.   Looks like rain in the forecast for the next 5 days!

Here are just a few of my favorites…you bet I’m getting a canvas  gallery wrap of the first shot =  ).

…also, I want to give a shout out to Danella Miller who helped me with customizing my blog.  I ran into a few snags after I installed the updated Soft Tofu theme but she fixed me right up.   If you have a Tofurious theme blog and need help contact Danella…she is AWESOME and super sweet!  Thanks Danella!!!

A couple weekends ago I had the opportunity to participate in a Pro-Photog workshop in San Luis Obispo with the AMAZING Leah Profancik and Joy Vertz of Shoot The Moon Photography.  I am a huge fan of Leah’s work and was more than thrilled to finally meet her!  It was sooo much fun to go out and shoot with Leah…it rained the entire weekend but we still managed to get some good stuff.   The second day I spent with Joy Vertz and it was all about growing your business and taking it to the next level.   One word comes to mind now when I think of Joy…”brilliant”.   She is pretty remarkable, I learned so much about the photography business from this lady.

Thank you Leah & Joy for the inspiration and mentorship…because of you both Binh Petit Photography is born (YAH)!

To top off the fabulous weekend I got to meet other incredible photographers throughout California including the super talented Amanda Elkins…..and I was the lucky winner of Joyce Smith’s “What to Wear Guide” (I never win anything…seriously).  I’m a very happy girl =  ).
